Classic SNG
The classic SNG is the all-rounder in ND SatCom's SNG product portfolio.
It was designed and developed as a fast, high quality news-gathering
vehicle for digital and/or analogue transmissions. Both broadcasters
and service providers value our classic SNG for its professional look
and feel and its high functionality.
The concept is strongly geared to the needs of our customers and to
current market trends.
The antenna has an EUTELSAT type approval. The transmission and antenna
systems are CETECOM approved, which is essential for obtaining a transmitting
license in many countries.
Compact SNG
The small size compact SNG is designed as a fast news reporting vehicle
for digital transmissions.
With the compact SNG, ITV offers a cost effective solution for events
such as tennis tournaments, motor racing, other sports events, concerts,
etc. The system consists of an antenna unit, a transmission section,
and digital signal processing and is usually based on a Mercedes Vito.
In the basic version, the compact SNG is designed for easy transmissions,
just take an external video signal from a camera or other device which
is plugged into the DVB unit and transmit it over satellite.
Web SNG
Make easily professional reports on the spot - live in the internet.
The quickest solution to get your news and events on the web.
Introducing the WebSNG ITV offers a cost effective and easy to use
mobile web contribution solution for the web community such as:
# broadcasters
# news channels and news agencies
# web streaming companies
# media & multimedia content production companies
# SNG service providers
# ISPs
# media companies
# corporations
# web portals
to produce and deliver live videos about events in politics, sports or
society.
The van is designed as a fast Web-News & Events contribution reporting
vehicle. The videos are encoded in commercial available stream coding
schemes such as Real Player, Quick Time, Mpeg4 or Media Player occupying
minimal bandwidth usually below 512 kbit/s, but guaranteeing good video
quality.
Like every ITV DSNG vehicle, the WebSNGŪ is designed for simple, intuitive
operation. Video and Internet journalists and crew can use the same software
tools in the van as at the office. The satellite uplink is fully automatic
(automatic pointing & network login) in the vehicle, as with most
ITV DSNG vans, freeing the journalists from spending valuable time on
the technical details of antenna orientation. No contacts is required
with the satellite operator before the journalist arrives on site. The
traditional time-consuming and sometimes costly satellite lineup procedures,
and the human errors that creep in when setting up a satellite link are
completely removed by using an automatic pointing and booking system.
The van requires no specialists to deal with azimuth, elevation or gigahertz.
WebSNGŪ enables us to provide a solution dedicated to web journalists.
Our combined IP and SNG technology enables the WebSNGŪ crew not only to
transmit its internet contribution at a variety of speeds but also with
the full Internet inter-connectivity, the crew has the capability of remotely
configuring or monitoring the web stream host or even perform its day
to day work through a corporate network."
